Free Self Assessment Tools & Resources

3 MBTI-like Assessments:   Below are not the actual Myers Briggs Temperament Inventory (MBTI) tests, but very similar, each takes about 20 minutes.  I have included three different assessments below for you to see if there are any differences among your results. Please note that with the actual MBTI, as well as with these free versions, they are not meant to be taken over and over as a means to ‘verify’ type. You will need to verify your initial results by really diving into the resources (available in my Free E-book: Your Divinely Guided Job Search 2025) and/or speaking with an MBTI practitioner. Taking these three assessments below is a good first step and will certainly spark deeper introspection.

Gallop's StrengthsFinder- (Not free but worth it the $24.99 for your top 5, or $59.99 for all 34!):   Your Top 5 Strengths in order are unique to you, only 1 in 33 million people will have those Top 5 Strengths in that particular order!  After taking StrengthsFinder, I recommend highlighting the parts of the report that resonate most and also the ones you might want to strengthen. Unlike MBTI, StrengthsFinder results will (and should) change over time, as you work to strengthen particular ones. I retook it after 5 years and saw that my working on some actually came to fruition: my report advised me to partner with an 'Activator' – and after having done this, and working on being an ‘Activator’ myself, 'Activator' showed up in my Top 10 some five years later. What is also fun about retaking it every five years or so is to see if you have any "Super-Strengths", a term I coined which are the same strength/s appearing again the next time you take it. It's been over 5 years since I've taken it, so I am excited to take it again and see what's changed and if I have more Super-Strengths! 😊

Verified MBTI Type:   E N F J  (Extrovert, iNtuitive, Feeling, Judging)

ENFJ: Popular and sensitive, with outstanding people skills. Externally focused, with real concern for how others think and feel. They see everything from the human angle, and dislike impersonal analysis. Very effective at managing people issues, and leading group discussions, they live in the world of people possibilities. More so than any other type, they understand and care about people, and have a special talent for bringing out the best in others. They are focused on understanding, supporting, and encouraging others. They make things happen for people, and get their best personal satisfaction from this.
